These are my thoughts and opinions on many topics. My passions are the stock market and helping abandoned and orphaned animals. In this world, it seems most things don't make much sense to me anymore. This is my feeble attempt to share all of the above. The blogs will include items that might make you shake my head as well as give you my take on why they happen. Enjoy.

Gun Control

As much as the left is delisioned that more gun laws restricting gun ownership or longer waiting periods or gun free zone ls (that one is delightful)

The insanity that the left believes - as if restricting gun ownership will stop criminals from obtaining weapons. That is beyond comprehensible,  do they not understand that as of 2012, 58% of all murders are committed by people with precious felony convictions. This will not change anytime soon and certainly will not change if guns are more didficult to obtain.

Law abiding citizens should not be penalized for felons. Most of the felons are liberals too, just for fun.....70% of all inmates call themselves Democrats.  Think that one through for a while. Sad state of affairs.

The Midwest of the United States

Short post: I have been doing some traveling throughout the Midwest United States lately.  There are many beautiful places and good people throughout the Midwest.  Unfortunately, everywhere I go is so much nicer, cleaner, quieter, safer, with way better roads than anything in the Detroit area.  I'm just saying.

Minnesota 20 -Detroit 13

Another beauty for the annals of Detroit Lions lore.  At safety they start a player that they activated from the practice squad on Sunday morning of the game.

At the kickoff, Minnesota's Percy Harvin returns a 107 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.  Harvin goes untouched.  Harvin also told the press after the game that Minnesota found flaws in the Lions coverage and they exploited it, probably pretty easy to figure out the Lions coverage by watching the game film since even I can call plays they run and I have never formally played the game.

Matthew Stafford appears to be Lion-ized, he ended up on the turf many times on Sunday and he was sacked five times.  He looked scared.  He is making wild throws underhand and backwards, lofting the ball skyward, and the lovely non-fumble that he was just trying to get rid of the ball.  It is similar to the work of Joey Harrington and Jeff Garcia.

Nick Fairley lines up offsides, which is pathetic because he lines up over the ball on defense.  And Fairley was non-existent.  The defensive backs were a disaster.

At 1-3 the Lions are is BIG trouble.  And the way they played against the St. Louis Rams, they really should be 0-4.

Still pathetic......only the names change.

Tennessee 44 - Detroit 41

This loss is one for the ages. But alas it is another blip on the incredible volumes of misfortune and mediocrity - borderline on ineptness that has plagued this team for 55 years.

The one thing I would like to discuss is the so called 'miscommunication' on the Overtime 4th and short inside the 10 that Coach Schwartz noted in his post game radio interview on WTKT.

My thoughts: How does the center, Domimic Raiola, even know what the snap count was supposed to be?.....especially when there isn't one. One has to assume that because the Lions were trying to draw the Titans offsides on the 4th and short that there is no snap count, that is because no play was to be run per Schwartz' admission in the interview. So why would Raiola snap the ball? Nobody will ever know the truth. But a true blunder it was, and yet another tale in the Lions fictitious book known as The Curse of Bobby Layne. The operative question begs to be asked: When will the book ever end?!?!

Thanks goodness I am Lions Free!
